Jimmy (Shao Hsuan) Chen


Jimmy originally from Taiwan, moved to Vancouver Canada in his early teenage years where he spent most of his time growing up in central Burnaby. Jimmy completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Simon Fraser University (2012 2018) before going overseas to Sydney Australia, where he obtained his Master of Physiotherapy Degree at The University of Sydney (2019-2021). While in Australia, Jimmy worked as a physiotherapist in a busy private sport clinic where he treated a wide range of patient population that included office workers, runners, adolescence, athletes, post-operations, seniors, to insurance schemes involving workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and disabilities. Jimmy was also an onsite physiotherapist for the affiliated local rugby club (Ryde Eastwood), as well as a reformer instructor within the clinic.

Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Jimmy was a personal trainer and a weight room supervisor at his undergraduate university (Simon Fraser University) fitness department. He also worked as a biomedical shoe wear assessor at an athletic footwear store. Jimmy is passionate about preventive healthcare and enjoys living a healthy lifestyle to share his experience through health education.
